Love Stalker tells the story of Pete (played by co-writer/director Matt Glasson), a 30-something womanizing player who is on a quest to bed as many women as possible in order to reach his golden number of 75. He expects that once he has had sex with that many partners, he will experience some sort of life-changing epiphany. Little does he know just how right he is when he meets and pursues Stephanie, a relationship advice blogger (played by rising star Rachel Chapman). She reluctantly accepts his advances but finds herself being charmed by him in spite of her reservations. However, once she has a glimpse into how deep his history as a player goes, she abruptly dumps him and ends their relationship.
Pete is devastated by losing her and sets about trying to win her back, but with his lack of experience being a romantic, his efforts to romance her look more like creepy stalking. Will love win out to give Pete a second chance at his redemption or has Pete s luck with the ladies finally run out?
Love Stalker is a stylish indie comedy in the vein of Swingers crossed with the intensity of Taxi Driver. It is an unromantic comedy that gives an unabashed and honest account of a jaded male perspective on today s singles dating scene.
